Alan was invited to an interdisciplinary workshop on social norms at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA. The attendees came from many different disciplines and engaged in a stimulating discussions of the formation of, use, and mechanisms underlying norm behavior.
Alan was part of an interesting symposium on the neural mechanisms of social decision-making at the annual German Neuroscience Society in Goettingen. The audience heard about prosocial behavior in rats, monkeys, and humans!
Alan presented some of the lab's work on third-party decisions in both social and risk contexts at the Decision-making for Others workshop at the Economics department here in Nijmegen.
