C A T A L I N A R A T A L A
I am currently a PhD candidate on a joint project of the Rotterdam School of Management and the Donders Institute.
I got my Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major at the Spiru Haret University, Bucharest, with the focus on Psychology and Sociology. During my undergrad time I had a class on neuropsychology, which sparked my interest in neuroscience.
I decided to continue my studies in Nijmegen and joined the Cognitive Neuroscience Research Master program. During this time I did a one-year internship in Alan Sanfey’s lab at the Donders Institute, investigating the social learning of trust.
Right after the CNS master I started my PhD project. In this project I am investigating how prices (specifically 0 prices) influence valuation, and subsequently decision-making. To gain even better insight, I am combining both behavioural and neuroimaging (fMRI) techniques in my experiments.
