Anabela Cantiani

Research Assistant

Anabela Cantiani completed a Research Master in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Granada (Spain). In her thesis, she studied social learning strategies (i.e., individual vs. category-based) underlying trust decision-making with unknown partners (PI Juan Lupiañez).

After completing the research master, she started a traineeship in Alan’s group. She is currently working on two projects which are in collaboration with Leiden University. One project uses fMRI to examine the neurocognitive impact of social comparison in financial risk-taking. The other project aims to investigate the psychological mechanisms underlying punishment vs. compensation decisions in the context of moral intention awareness.

In her spare time Anabela loves travelling, hiking, practicing yoga and attending all kinds of cultural events.
